It will soon mark one year since PolyVue® Distribution, Inc. began a soft roll-out of the PolyVue Presbyopic System - a unique family of soft contact lenses that work together to optimize the fitting of monovision, modified monovision, progressive and toric progressive soft contact lenses.

After over 10 months of placing initial fitting sets and a thorough market research, PolyVue has made several upgrades to the system including the addition of the new HDX Progressive soft lens, and poised to introduce the most ideal Presbyopic System to the contact lens industry in the first quarter of 2005.

New product – HDX Progressive

HDX Progressive utilizes proprietary progressive geometry, and is an all-round effective, simple-to-fit lens that gives an excellent impression for both near and distance. PolyVue® Distribution, Inc. Introduces Four-Lens System For Optimum Management Of Presbyopia(May, 2004)

PolyVue® Distribution, Inc. makes it easier than ever for eye care professionals to correct presbyopia with soft contact lenses. The PolyVue Presbyopic System™ incorporates the proven design and performance of PolyVue® High Definition soft contact lens technology into a unique, four-product system that matches specific performance characteristics with the changing vision needs of presbyopic patients.

The unique optics of PolyVue High Definition, PolyVue High Definition Toric, PolyVue High Definition Progressive and PolyVue High Definition Toric Progressive lenses correct spherical aberration more effectively than other lenses by incorporating the ideal aspheric curvature for each lens power. The result is improved visual acuity, enhanced contrast sensitivity, reduced refractive astigmatism and overall clearer, crisper vision.

PolyVue High Definition Toric Progressive lens is the only fully molded toric progressive lens on the market. It is a toric version of the High Definition Progressive lens specifically engineered to address the large percentage of presbyopes who also need astigmatic correction. By masking up to 1 diopter of refractive astigmatism, High Definition Toric Progressive lens reduces the number of cylinder powers needed and simplifies fitting.

All PolyVue High Definition lenses are manufactured using the proprietary Hypathin™ mold core technology, which produces durable, easy-to-handle lenses that provide excellent oxygen transmission and comfort.

PolyVue innovation continues with a uniform pricing structure that allows creativity and customization in presbyopic fitting. All four High Definition products are uniformly priced for quarterly replacement. Uniform pricing allows practitioners to use lenses in a variety of combinations to suit the needs of individual patients without the need to recalculate lens cost and fitting fees.

The PolyVue Presbyopic System is sold through select distributors.

To introduce eye care professionals to the PolyVue Presbyopic System, the company is offering a 396-lens consignment inventory to qualified ECPs. For more information, or for additional product information and specifications, contact Polyvue at 510-741-0662 or at info@polyvue.com.
